Mizuki Fukumura Is the Leader of One of the Most Famous Pop Music Groups In Japan

Mizuki Fukumura, then 18 was named the new leader of the group following the graduation of Sayumi Michishige.  Fukumura is a 9^th generation member of the group Morning Musume who also has released several photo books as of this writing including Kagayaki. She released the photo book called MIZUKI in May 2013. The photo book was shot on the island of Guam. Mizuki Fukumura became band leader when Sayumi Michishige graduated on November 26, 2014 following a career as an idol singer for 11 years.

A Brief Look at the Career of This Famous Morning Musume Member

Early on in her career, Fukumura did something interesting which you could call a collaboration. She starred as a background dancer for two of the videos for singer Erina Mano. These songs are Haru no Arashi and Onegai Dakara. A special comment must be made here and that is that I will not include all of the biographical details of Fukumura’s career because she has taken part in some of the same songs or stage plays that other Morning Musume members have as well. It would be in October and November of 2012 that we could say that Fukumura took her first major international trip overseas as a member of Morning Musume. With four older members of the group, she attended handshake events in Thailand, Taiwan, France, and South Korea. Fukumura would celebrate her 16^th birthday in France.

The beginning of 2014 for Fukumura began by her getting a modeling appearance in the magazine called Young Gangan. She also became that magazine’s cover girl. There was a DVD that was released for this specific issue on March 20, 2014. It was on March 1, 2014 that Morning Musume wrote on Twitter that Fukumura would not be able to attend some events due to her being ill with influenza. Fukumura released her second photo book called Utakata on June 25, 2014. Her solo DVD called Pancake was released on August 6, 2014.

On October 30, 2014 which was Fukumura’s 18^th birthday, a special event was held for her. She did one performance at Tokyo’s Yamano Hall. In 2015, Fukumura made an appearance as a gravure model in the magazine Young Gangan more than once. If you are able to do that, it means that photographers and others are noticing your appeal and value! In June 2017, Fukumura announced that she would be taking over the radio show called Yajima no Heya on the Hello! Project Mobile app and this show was previously hosted by singer Maimi Yajima, a former member of the girl group C-ute. Meanwhile, Fukumura’s 4^th solo photo book Hatachi was released on July 15, 2017. On October 30, 2018 as Fukumura turned 22 years old, she released her 5^th photo book called Makana which I also wrote about when I had a website under the previous name Asian Celebs Hut. It would be on March 27, 2019 that Fukumura would surpass Ai Takahashi’s record tenure as group leader and that record that she surpassed was 4 years, 3 months, and 28 days. On June 11, 2019, Fukumura opened an account on Instagram. It would be on June 21, 2021 that she would release the song “Extra” digitally. This is a cover of the song of the same title by the artist KAN.

• She has loved Morning Musume since the age of 1!
• Fukumura is left-handed and this makes her the first member in Morning Musume history to be left-handed.
• She is the youngest person to ever become sub-leader and leader of Morning Musume.
• She said that if she was able to cast a spell, she would make Hollywood stars attend a Morning Musume concert.
• The first ever CD of Hello! Project that Fukumura bought was a CD of the group called Minimoni.

• Fukumura wanted to audition for the 8^th generation but she was too young to do so.
