Introducing This 10th Generation Member of Morning Musume
Haruna Iikubo is famous for being a 10th generation member of the group Morning Musume along with Masaki Sato, Ayumi Ishida, and Haruka Kudo. She is even more famously known for serving as a sub-leader for the group.
Date of birth: November 7, 1994
Place of birth: Tokyo, Japan
However, just like these other former Morning Musume members, Haruna got her career started in other ways before advancing. It was in 2007 that she became a “talent” under the agency Heart’s Agent. Iikubo would then leave that agency around early 2009. It was in that same year that she won an award in a model audition for the girls fashion magazine Love Berry. Iikubo signed a contract with the agency FOSTER under the name of Dan Hau.
It would be at Reina Tanaka’s graduation concert in May 2013 that IIkubo and Mizuki Fukumura were appointed as sub-leaders of Morning Musume. On July 21, 2014, Iikubo was featured as a special guest on the Nico LIVE stream event for the game Zelda Musou which is known as Hyrule Warriors outside of Japan. During this event she talked about the Legend of Zelda series and she played the demo. It would be on September 20, 2017 that Iikubo would set a record for the longest serving sub-leader in the history of Morning Musume surpassing Risa Niigaki’s previous record of 4 years, 3 months, and 28 days.
